Basketball Recap: Burns Takes a Loss

Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. The matchup between them and the Buffalo Bison didn't end well, with the Burns Broncs falling 50-32. If the Broncs were looking for revenge after losing 51-34 to them when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Burns still got an impressive performance from Josie Barrett, who posted 13 points. Barrett is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Burns' defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Buffalo, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burns will venture away from home to challenge Glenrock at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Burns is facing Glenrock at the right time seeing as Glenrock is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Buffalo, they will head out to square off against Douglas at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Douglas will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Buffalo surely won't give up without a fight.
