Football Game Preview: Martin County Tigers vs. Dwyer Panthers

The Martin County Tigers will head out to square off against the Dwyer Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Martin County's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-0 victory over Treasure Coast. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Dwyer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 25-0 to Central. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Cobras are ranked 11th).

Martin County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points on average over those games. As for Dwyer, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
