Basketball Recap: Napoleon Drops Highest Score of Season Against Springfield

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Napoleon). They blew past the Springfield Blue Devils 71-19 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Napoleon found their leader in sophomore Hannah Miller, who went 5 for 6 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lylah Huddle, who went 5 of 7 to rack up 12 points.

Napoleon was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only posted one assist.

When it comes to explaining why Springfield lost, don't look at Ty'Shaela Wright. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Wright a new career-high.

Napoleon pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.2 points. As for Springfield, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-21.

Napoleon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 41-17 victory against Clay on the 8th. As for Springfield, they will square off against Notre Dame Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
