Basketball Recap: Frontier Comes Up Short at Home Against Winamac

Frontier unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Winamac Warriors on Tuesday, falling 60-21. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Kandace Kroft had an outrageously good game for Winamac as she almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Kroft a new career-high in field goal percentage (53%). Another player making a difference was Sadie Popejoy, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontier will square off against Clinton Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winamac, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
