Luella had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 73-38 victory over the North Clayton Eagles. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Eagles are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Luella to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kevin Exi, who posted 13 points and six steals. Exi is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jameel Haines, who went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points.

Luella smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Luella's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for North Clayton, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9.

Luella has already played their next game, a 74-51 victory against Riverdale on the 18th. As for North Clayton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-57 defeat against Cedar Grove on the 18th.
