Volleyball Recap: Southeastern Panthers vs. Westfall Mustangs

Southeastern had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Westfall Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Southeastern never let Westfall on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-14, 25-19.

Kylee Dunn paced Southeastern's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dunn got some help from Lilly Steele and her 14 assists.

Westfall's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joni Snyder, who had nine digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Cora Bruce, who had ten digs and two assists.

Southeastern's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Westfall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Looking ahead, Southeastern will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Zane Trace at 6:30 p.m. As for Westfall, they will face off against Fisher Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
