It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Columbine had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Cherokee Trail Cougars 42-21. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Columbine was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 187 rushing yards in 25 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

One reason for the win was Columbine's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, Will Monroe was the leader with two.

Despite the loss, Cherokee Trail still got an impressive performance from Noah Collins, who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. That's the most rushing yards Collins has posted since back in October of 2023.

Columbine's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Cherokee Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
