Big Game from Stoever As Wimberley Won 59-28
Starting off the list is Wimberley's Cody Stoever, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stoever rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes.
If the past is any indication, Stoever could be in store for another big game when he takes on Jarrell on Friday. Stoever threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 59 yards the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in October of 2023.

While Lincoln Hossfeld delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Salado. Hossfeld turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 70 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 292 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.
Salado now has a losing record at 3-4. Hossfeld and Salado will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jarrell at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.
