Basketball Recap: Terry Riggins Key Part of a Team Effort in Bears Win

After losing to Northside - Jacksonville the last time they met, New Bern decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The New Bern Bears walked away with a 63-53 victory over the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs on Tuesday.

New Bern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Terry Riggins led the charge by going 5 of 7 en route to 12 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jussan Wiggins, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 15 points and six boards.

New Bern now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

New Bern will welcome J.H. Rose at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they will head out to face off against Wallace-Rose Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
