Softball Recap: Glasgow Takes a Loss

Glasgow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Larue County Hawks, falling 13-2. The Scotties were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in March of 2015.

Glasgow saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayvah Maxey, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Micah Muhlenkamp also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Even though they lost, Glasgow hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Larue County struck out seven times.

Glasgow's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Larue County, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Coincidentally, Glasgow and Larue County will both be playing Webster County the next time they take the field. Larue County will host Webster County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Glasgow will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
