Baseball Preview: Mount Union Trojans vs. Tyrone Golden Eagles
The Mount Union Trojans will face off against the Tyrone Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Last Tuesday, Mount Union made easy work of Curwensville and carried off a 12-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Golden Tide: they've now won six in a row.

Jamon Ranck was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Julian Weirich was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Mount Union always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Curwensville only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Tyrone had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Bald Eagle Area 11-4 on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Golden Eagles as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
L Seeger looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
