Baseball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-3 to the Canutillo Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-4 back in March.

Jefferson has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Canutillo, they pushed their record up to 18-9 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jefferson is set to challenge their familiar foe Andress at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Canutillo will square off against rival El Paso at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
