Recap: Box Elder Bees vs. Roy Royals
The Box Elder Bees entered their tilt with the Roy Royals with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Box Elder strolled past Roy with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 43-27. Given Box Elder's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Roy is ranked 92nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kaydence Barber was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamri Andersen, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Box Elder's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. As for Roy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Box Elder will be playing in front of their home fans against Bountiful at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Bountiful is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games. As for Roy, they will head out on the road to square off against Viewmont at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Viewmont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Wednesday.
