Baseball Game Preview: Montgomery Central Indians vs. Dickson County Cougars

Montgomery Central hasn't had much luck against Dickson County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Indians will host the Cougars at 7:00 p.m.

Montgomery Central lost 9-3 to Clarksville on Tuesday.

Noah Suggs made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Evander Powers also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Dickson County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Knights as they made off with an 11-1 victory.

Dickson County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-16. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Montgomery Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

Montgomery Central skirted past Dickson County 5-4 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
