Silver faced Cobre in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Fighting Colts took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Fighting Colts' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Brailyn Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Silver's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Cobre, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver will challenge Santa Teresa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Desert Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.64 runs per game on average), something the Fighting Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cobre, they will head out to face off against Hot Springs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
