Volleyball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Clinton Christian Academy was the 3-1 winner over Christian Learning Center when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Clinton Christian Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 22-25, 15-8.

Robey Kisner paced Clinton Christian Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Kisner got some help from Allie Thornton and her eight assists. Thornton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Clinton Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6-1. As for Christian Learning Center, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season.

Clinton Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crosspoint Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Learning Center, they will take on Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis in a tournament on Thursday.
