Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Cyclones vs. Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers

The Southeast Cyclones will head out on the road to take on the Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southeast's defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so Lingle-Fort Laramie's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Saturday, Southeast was able to grind out a solid victory over Niobrara County, taking the game 28-20. That's two games straight that the Cyclones have won by exactly eight points.

Meanwhile, Lingle-Fort Laramie had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.6 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Lions as they made off with a 57-37 win. The Doggers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Lingle-Fort Laramie pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.4 points. As for Southeast, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Southeast came up short against Lingle-Fort Laramie in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 34-29. Can Southeast avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
