Baseball Recap: Cassopolis Takes a Loss

Cassopolis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Decatur Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Monday.

Lane Leach was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Mj Conner also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Cassopolis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Decatur, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cassopolis is set to take on their familiar foe Marcellus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Decatur will square off against rival Bloomingdale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
