Volleyball Recap: Saugus Centurions vs. Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns

Saugus had already won 23 in a row and they went ahead and made it 24 on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns.

Saugus easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-18.

Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brynna Guy, who had 12 digs. Guy is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Saugus' victory bumped their record up to 35-1. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they moved to 22-5 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Saugus has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Menlo School on the 12th. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Mt. Carmel on the 15th.
