Volleyball Recap: Chapman Triumphs

The Chapman Irish had just enough and edged out the Republic County Buffaloes 2-1 on Saturday.

Chapman had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Republic County still got an impressive performance from Ava Thumann, who had nine digs.

Chapman's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Republic County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Chapman has already played their next contest, a 0-0 tie against Smith Center on the 20th. As for Republic County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Hanover on the 20th.
