Volleyball Recap: Cooper Comes Up Short

Cooper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brownwood Lions. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Brownwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Icess Hall, who had 20 assists and one block. Maddi Scott was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Brownwood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Cooper will face off against Miles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brownwood, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Sweetwater at 9:00 a.m.
