Burlington had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They never let the Olpe Eagles get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Burlington's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6. As for Olpe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Burlington beat Olpe by a score of 12-1 later that day.
