Baseball Game Preview: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Hanks Knights

Bel Air hasn't had much luck against Hanks recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bel Air Highlanders will be playing at home against the Hanks Knights at 6:30 p.m. Hanks took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bel Air, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Bel Air turned things around against Burges on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 13-1 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Highlanders' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Alex Rodriguez made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has become a key player for Bel Air: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5-1 otherwise. Rodriguez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Chavez, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Elio Ceniceros, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Hanks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canutillo.

Bel Air now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Hanks, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
