Softball Game Preview: Porter Spartans vs. Hempstead Bobcats

The Porter Spartans will venture away from home to face off against the Hempstead Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Porter picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top against Silsbee by a score of 5-2.

The team relied heavily on Katelyn Herrera, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenna Rinewalt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hempstead took on Alpha Omega Academy on Saturday. Hempstead walked away with a 9-5 win over Alpha Omega Academy.

Porter's record now sits at 7-4-1. As for Hempstead, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
