Recap: Montclair Cavaliers vs. Sierra Vista Dons
The Montclair Cavaliers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 36-22 victory over Sierra Vista on Thursday. This was payback for Montclair, who suffered a 29-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Anthony Cervantes had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 47 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffrey Avila, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Sierra Vista's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gabriel Garcia, who rushed for 156 yards, and also caught a touchdown. Cyron Mcadams was another key contributor, rushing for 88 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Montclair now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Sierra Vista, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8.
Montclair will take on Garey at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Garey is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. Sierra Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
