While Oroville put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Cusick. The Hornets came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 5-0. Those five runs were actually the fewest the Hornets have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Tucker Accord made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Kane Booker was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Landon Howe, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Oroville and bumps their season record up to 9-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Cusick, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-12-1.
