Soccer Recap: Eureka Comes Up Short

Eureka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Christian Brothers Cadets. While losing is never fun, Eureka can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Christian Brothers are ranked 17th).

Eureka's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Christian Brothers, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Eureka will head out to challenge St. Francis Borgia at 6:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Christian Brothers, they will venture away from home to take on Howell North at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
