Ridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 49-44 W against the South Plainfield Tigers. Given the Red Devil's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Tigers are ranked 152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ridge's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points over those games. As for South Plainfield, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.
