Basketball Game Preview: Berwick Academy Bulldogs vs. Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall Chargers

After both having extra time off, the Berwick Academy Bulldogs and the Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall Chargers will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Berwick Academy is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game two weeks ago. They lost 54-29 to Boston Trinity Academy. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Noah Daniel, who posted nine points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Demers, who put up two points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Berwick Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boston Trinity Academy only pulled down three offensive boards.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall had to suffer through a 71-38 loss at the hands of Lexington Christian Academy. The defeat continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Berwick Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall, they now have a losing record at 0-1.

Berwick Academy couldn't quite finish off Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 62-60. Can Berwick Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
