Football Recap: Lawson Cardinals vs. Warsaw Wildcats

Lawson kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 27-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warsaw Wildcats. The Cardinals lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 33-0 score last time.

Josh Harvath was nothing short of spectacular for Warsaw: he rushed for 194 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries. Those 194 rushing yards gave Harvath a new career-high.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawson will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Lafayette County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Warsaw, they will square off against Adrian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
