It was a good run, but Shore Regional unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 61-38 to the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 68-54 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Shore Regional lost, don't look at Reese Fiore. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points. Fiore has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Emma Madison was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Shore Regional's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7. As for Rumson-Fair Haven, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shore Regional will take on Colts Neck at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rumson-Fair Haven, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Paul VI at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Paul VI's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
