Basketball Recap: Warsaw Comes Up Short

If Warsaw was feeling good fresh off their 49-22 takedown of Wayland-Cohocton on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Mount Morris Blue Devils on Saturday, falling 52-31. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost five in a row.

Mount Morris found their leader in sophomore Addyson Barnhardt, who posted 33 points. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which Barnhardt has scored at least a third of the Blue Devils' points.

Warsaw's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Mount Morris, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Warsaw will square off against York at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Morris, they will venture away from home to face off against Hinsdale Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
