Softball Recap: Brown County Hornets vs. Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes
Brown County lost against Griggsville-Perry back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tornadoes.
Brown County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Craven, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another was Lilly Ham, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Brown County's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Griggsville-Perry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Brown County is set to challenge their familiar foe Greenfield/Northwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Griggsville-Perry will face off against rival Carrollton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for the Tornadoes: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while the Hawks have snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.
