Mauldin is 8-2 against Woodmont since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Mauldin is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against J.L. Mann on Monday. Mauldin took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of J.L. Mann. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mavericks came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Patriots are ranked 91st).

Meanwhile, Woodmont's game on Friday was all tied up 29-29 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down Greenwood 67-49.

Mauldin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season. As for Woodmont, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-11.
