Basketball Recap: Summerville Sets Scoring Season-High Against Stall

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Summerville). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging an 84-24 win over the Stall Warriors. The Green Wave have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Summerville had a senior duo take command as Molly Daugherty almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards and Cailah Tucker went 6 for 10 on her way to 15 points and six steals. That's the most steals Tucker has posted since back in December of 2024. Krissa Lavassar was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six assists and six steals.

Despite the loss, Stall still got an impressive performance from JaNia Griffin, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Williams, who put up 11 points.

Summerville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Stall, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Summerville has already played their next contest, a 56-27 victory against James Island on the 4th. As for Stall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-26 loss against Ashley Ridge on the 4th.
