Football Recap: Judge Memorial Catholic Takes a Loss

Judge Memorial Catholic had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it five. They were beaten by the Layton Christian Academy Eagles 56-0. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

As for Layton Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Trevor Halalilo was his usual excellent self, rushing for 130 yards and a pair of scores. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Judge Memorial Catholic will challenge Summit Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Layton Christian Academy, they will face off against Providence Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
