St. James barely beat East Iberville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The St. James Wildcats were the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over the East Iberville Tigers on Wednesday. Considering the Wildcats have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for St. James, bringing their record for this year to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for East Iberville, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as St. James Wildcats take on Covenant Christian Academy Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Covenant Christian Academy will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something St. James surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Iberville, they will head out to face off against Plaquemine at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
