Softball Recap: Bruceville-Eddy Eagles vs. Elgin Wildcats

Bruceville-Eddy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 12-8 to the Elgin Wildcats. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kimber Diaz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Abby Reese, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Bruceville-Eddy now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Elgin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-9.

Looking ahead, Bruceville-Eddy is taking a road trip to challenge Hico at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bruceville-Eddy has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Elgin, they will welcome Hendrickson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
