Basketball Recap: North Pontotoc Falls Short of Senatobia in the Playoffs

North Pontotoc and Senatobia squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but North Pontotoc had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Senatobia Warriors by a score of 50-48. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

North Pontotoc's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Senatobia, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Coming up, North Pontotoc will challenge Louisville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Louisville will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something North Pontotoc surely won't give up without a fight. As for Senatobia, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-39 defeat against South Pontotoc on the 7th.
