Baseball Recap: Pacifica Gets the Win

Pacifica took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against San Marcos, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tritons never let the Royals get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Friday.

Not much got past Sebastian Hernandez, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep San Marcos off the board. Hernandez also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pacifica is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

Pacifica now has a winning record of 11-10. As for San Marcos, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.

Looking ahead, Pacifica is taking a road trip to square off against Foothill Tech at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tritons surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Marcos, they will be playing at home against Santa Barbara at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
