IMG Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 41-24 victory over Varsity Opponent. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Ascenders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead IMG Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Wade, who threw for 254 yards and three TDs on only 19 passes. Wade is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Le'Khy Thompkins helped Wade out on the ground, rushing for 149 yards while picking up 9.3 yards per carry.

IMG Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 248 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 173 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

IMG Academy's record now sits at 7-0.

Coming up, IMG Academy will host East St. Louis at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Ascenders will need to watch out since the Flyers have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests. As for Varsity Opponent, they have already played their next game, a 20-0 loss against Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy on the 18th.
