Football Recap: Ware Shoals' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Ware Shoals won the last time they faced Towns County and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets came out on top against the Indians by a score of 32-22. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 174th in South Carolina, while the Indians are ranked 431st in Georgia).

Ware Shoals had a senior duo take command as Tyrell Cunningham gained 181 total yards and a touchdown and Jayden Johnson threw for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes.

Ware Shoals didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cunningham. Ware Shoals got some further help from Elijah Brown: he forced one fumble and made 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Towns County lost, don't look at Kamdyn Mooney. Despite the final result, he threw for 141 yards and two TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground.
