Baseball Recap: Harbor Light Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Brimley on Monday, Harbor Light Christian came back down to earth. The Swordsmen fell just short of the Boyne City Ramblers by a score of 6-5 on Thursday.

Daniel Urman put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.

Urman wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Landon Jakeway, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Harbor Light Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Boyne City, they now have a winning record of 1-0-1.

While Harbor Light Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
