Recap: Victory Baptist Academy Saints vs. Cross Lanes Christian Warriors
There's no place like home for the Victory Baptist Academy Saints, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past Cross Lanes Christian with a 71-67 victory on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Ethan Hunt, who scored 34 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Landon Cormican was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Victory Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 12-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Cross Lanes Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Coincidentally, Victory Baptist Academy and Cross Lanes Christian will both be playing Grace Christian the next time they take the court. Cross Lanes Christian will host Grace Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Victory Baptist Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
