Softball Recap: McCutcheon Comes Up Short

McCutcheon lost against Plainfield on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mavericks fell just short of the Quakers by a score of 5-4. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaidynn Peckinpaugh was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallorie Beutel, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

McCutcheon's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Plainfield, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

Looking ahead, McCutcheon will take on Brownsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Plainfield, they have already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Northview on the 28th.
