Basketball Recap: Joshua Christian Takes a Loss

Joshua Christian is still winless after their match against Heritage Christian Academy on Saturday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heritage Christian Academy Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-24 last Thursday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heritage Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Raiden Harrison, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Pappas, who earned ten points.

Joshua Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their record now sits at 4-11-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Joshua Christian will take on Heritage Christian Athletics at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Heritage Christian Athletics' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. Heritage Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Community Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
