Softball Recap: Kalaheo Comes Up Short

Kalaheo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Kahuku Red Raiders. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Red Raiders from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Kalaheo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Akiu (4), who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Haylee Manoa was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Kalaheo's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kahuku, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Kalaheo will welcome Radford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kahuku, they will face off against Farrington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
