Baseball Game Preview: St. Catherine's Angels vs. Racine Lutheran/Prairie Crusaders

The St. Catherine's Angels will challenge the Racine Lutheran/Prairie Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Wednesday, St. Catherine's came up short against Shoreland Lutheran and fell 8-3. The Angels have struggled against the Pacers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Nate Callis put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Callis was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Eli Gasau made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

St. Catherine's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Racine Lutheran/Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
