The American Heritage Patriots will take on the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. American Heritage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

American Heritage gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Palm Beach Central. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday St. Thomas Aquinas sidestepped Stoneman Douglas for a 2-1 win.

On the hitting side, St. Thomas Aquinas' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Paige Boccuzzi, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Boccuzzi brought in this season. Ava Romance was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

St. Thomas Aquinas' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for American Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. American Heritage hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like St. Thomas Aquinas struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
