Softball Recap: Atherton Comes Up Short

Atherton lost against Ballard back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Ravens fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 3-2.

Izzy Cummins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Atherton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Ballard, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Atherton will challenge Waggener at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Ravens surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ballard, they will square off against Green County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
